Our World Lately

Here's a picture overload of whats been going on around here the last two months.

Jess got to have a girls day out with two of her besties Addie and Holly. We went to Fritz for Addie's second birthday. It was fun because a little train came and brought them their food.

After lunch the girls played with the little train ride and then outside.
This is the best we got at getting all three girls in one picture. Haha.

For Valentine's day we went over to a friends house for lunch and a cookie decorating party. I think Jess had more fun actually decorating the cookie than eating it. She mostly just wanted to eat the sprinkles. There's her good friend Parker in the background. AKA "Carker" as Jess calls him.

Sometimes when we got to the mall Jess likes to get on the merry go round. She's too scared of the actual horses so she likes to sit on the little benches instead.

She's  been doing great in nursery at church. Most of the time she will go in and say "bye, bye!" with out crying anymore. It took us a long time to get to that point. Rarely she will go in with a fuss. Usually as soon as sacrament in over she says "Go play with friends?" And Jordan is the one who usually drops her off. After we pick her up sometimes she's too excited and doesn't want to leave church. Then she keeps saying "I had fun with friends." or "I had fun at church." And sometimes she will randomly say "I go to church morrow" She can't wait to go to church!

This winter has been full of snow, snow and more snow!
Jordan has had a few snow days from school so we've been stuck at home trying to keep ourselves busy. We even had one day where we made a fort and watched the snow fall out the window. She likes to play in the snow for a little while but she gets over it pretty fast after she's eaten most of it. Haha. She would rather sit inside and watch it through the window. She gets really excited when it snows and yells "It's snowing!"

Penny isn't a huge fan of it. And this time we got so much of it that she could would sink into it. So it's hard for her to find a spot to go potty.
It has been fun and it's beautiful to look at. And even though the first day of spring is today we still have some more snow coming up in our forecast. I get a little jealous when I see friends in Arizona already wearing flip flops and shorts while we're still here in boots and coats. But then I think about how hot summer is going to be and how much hotter it will be for me since I will have a giant belly then I'm trying to enjoy the cold weather as much as I can before it's gone and I'm sweating my butt off! haha.

This winter has been brutal as far as sickness goes. Unfortunately we all got the flu for the first time ever I think. Jordan got it first along with Jess. Luckily she didn't get it as bad as we did. After they started to recover then I caught it.
I don't know who got it worse. Jordan or me. But it sucked really bad for me since I couldn't take much for it. But there were about two days where we both felt like we were dying and could barely get out of bed. It was a long two weeks! Now we are finally starting to feel human again. We all ended up going to urgent care  to confirm that's what it was. And it was definitely influenza A. Yuck! Here is Jess feeling a little better at urgent care and yes she pretty much picked out her own outfit. lol.
 \
We watched a dog for a few days. We watched her for a friend of Jordan's while they went to the hospital to give birth to their baby girl. The dogs name was Lyla and she was half weenie dog and half pug. Jess kept calling her "Lella" I'm pretty sure she thought her name was Cinderella. lol. Jess loved her and Penny got along with her really well too.

We also went to our Annual KC car show with James and Heather and the boys. Jess and the boys had more fun watching these Army robots than they did looking at the actual cars.

On our way to go help James do some work on his office, both Jess and RoRo fell asleep in the car. lol. Doesn't Roman look really comfortable?!

For some reason this little goof thought putting her jammies like this meant she was going to the pool. Haha. I'm not sure why but look at that face!

And she still loves her bath time!

Lately she's been very good at entertaining herself. The other day she took everything out of her dollhouse and set it all up around this basket. This kept her pretty busy for a while.

She loves to take her babies and her baby doll stroller to the store.

She is so much like me in that she loves her baby dolls! I always loved them when I was little and was always carrying one around.
One of her favorite things to do is go "see dollses" as she calls it. Haha. AKA the American Girl store. She loves to go and play with all the dolls and accessories. I probably love it just as much as her.
She also seems to get girlier and girlier. When she plays she always has to have shoes and a purse. Sometimes she wears her princess high heels or she puts on her own shoe's by herself.
She also likes to hang a bunch of bags or "pack packs" off of her stroller. She must be pretending she is going on a trip or something. Haha.
This is pretty much her typical playing outfit. Jammies, and sometimes a pretty princess dress or skirt, shoes, and a purse.
She is so much fun to watch. She also has full on conversations with her baby asking if she wants to watch a movie or read a book. She also likes to show her everything or rock her to sleep and sing her twinkle twinkle little star. She has such an imagination.
Welp... there's a little catch up of what's been going on in the J. Sheffer world lately. I will try not to make it such a long time until the next update.
