Jessalyn's Birthday Party

Jessalyn had a birthday party with her friends the day before her actual birthday. We wanted to spend the day as a family on her actual birthday so that's why we had a friend party the day before.
She wanted to have a "Grace" party. Grace is the girl of the year from American girl and the doll is what grandma was getting her for her birthday. Grace loves to bake and took a trip to visit family in Paris. So we had a cookie decorating party.

The girls (and Jayven) had a lot of fun piling their cookies with icing and sprinkles. They used A LOT of icing and sprinkles! Haha.
Then they had a dance party with their dolls because that's what they did last year.
The boys just watched.
Then we went outside to take some pictures. These girls are pros at posing for pictures.
I love looking at the comparison of the girls from her 4th birthday last year and her 5th birthday this year.
Then they got some treats!
After the party we went out to the store to get some food for the family party the next day.
This boy is just too handsome that I had to capture his cuteness!
And this sleepy boy is just too cute too!!
Then he has a blow out while we were in the store so we had to wait for daddy in the car while I changed his diaper. He thought he was pretty cool sitting in his big brothers seat.

Go Chiefs!

Business Card Ceremony

Jordan is officially an intern! He had a business card ceremony about 5 weeks ago which made him official.
A lot of his friends have also entered the internship as well.
We are so very proud of this hardworking man in our life. It's crazy to think that we started this journey when I was pregnant with Jess and now here we are a family of five! Now we only have a year left. We are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. He has since been busy working on patients at school.
That same day we all went to the mall. It was a week before Jessalyn's 5th birthday and when we passed by Claire's we asked Jess If she wanted to get her ears pierced. We decided to wait together them pierced when she's old enough to decide for herself. At first she wasn't sure but then she saw that they had shopkins in the store and when we said she could get one after she was all for it!
I don't think she knew exactly what was going to happen. She was very brave but a few seconds after they wer done she realized that it hurt and started crying. She didn't even want to look at herself in the mirror. But after she calmed down and got a lollipop and shopkins she was fine.
And of course we can't go to the mall without stopping by the American girl store.
Jayven enjoys it too... For now. Haha.

And of course, Jonas slept through everything.
