Jayven's 2nd Birthday!

We started the day off with him walking downstairs to find some streamers hanging down.
He thought it was pretty awesome but really didn't have any idea what it was for. He didn't quite understand what a birthday was or that it was his birthday. We kept asking him if he was excited that he was 2 and he kept saying no. Haha.
We went out for a birthday lunch at Freddy's to start the birthday celebrations off.
Then we went to check out the new sports store Scheels that just opened up.
He enjoyed playing around with all the sports stuff.
After that we went over to James and Heathers for a little party with the family. I figured he's young enough that he won't care about what theme his birthday party is so I took advantage and picked a theme that I thought was cute. So I went with a nautical theme. Rice Krispy sail boats, squeeze it's with lifesavers, and a blue ocean cake complete with a rice Krispy sail boat made by daddy!
Of course I had to dress everyone in coordinating colors to fit the theme.
Jayven is a lot like me and doesn't like attention focused on him. So when we started singing happy birthday he tried to get off the chair and leave.
And he didn't understand the whole blowing out the candle thing so sister got to help with that.
He did enjoy opening his presents and wanted to open everything right away.
And he also enjoyed his birthday cake. Happy Birthday baby boy!!

2 years of Jayven

My little Jayven Cove. My sweet sweet boy! 2 years of this boy have been pretty amazing! It's so fun to see the different personalities in each kid. Jayven is the most sensitive and easy going little boys I've ever known.
I think Heavenly Father decided we needed a break after we were so blessed with our strong willed princess. Haha.
He's so smart and amazes us everyday with what he knows and how much he talks. The words he knows are endless and he even puts words together and says short sentences like "I don't want it." Or "I don't like it."  He loves to copy everything his sister does. Even if it's plays with babies or purses, repeating what she says or dancing the way she does. They are like 2 peas in a pod.
He's such a tender hearted boy. He loves anything that's cute and has loved snuggling since he was a tiny baby. He gives anything he thinks is cute kisses.
He gets scared very easily. Any loud noise will send him running. Thunder is one of the scariest. He likes dogs but only as long as they are far away. He's not very daring so he doesn't attempt very much.  Luckily he hasn't been a climber or a wanderer. He plays outside with sister all the time and I don't have to worry about him running out into the street or going very far.
He loves Mickey Mouse. Also know as "ditty" and goofy is known as "gawrsh". He also loves curious george know as "ah ah" (the noise monkeys make. Lol) and just like any boy he loves trains and cars too. For a while he called everything "tains" even cars. He's starting to realize there's a difference.
He loves food. His favorite is probably pizza. He has a great appetite and likes to eat a lot more things than sister has ever liked
He's not as shy as Jess. He will talk to strangers but is still can be pretty shy.
He loves his baby Jonas and loves giving him kisses. He's even willing to share mommys milk with him since he is still breastfeeding.
He brings so much joy to our lives. Jess is just as in love with him. We are beyond blessed to call this boy ours. Every single day he brings a smile to our face and are just in awe with his cuteness!
