The Big Move

We finally made the big move. We were pretty much all packed up and ready to go by Friday. We ate Eegee's on the floor of our bedroom the night before and slept on an air mattress. We only got about three or four hours of sleep that night and woke up early Saturday morning to put all the last things in our cars.

We were very tired but so ready to go! Penny was ready but a little confused about why our house was empty and we were going for a car ride.

We're all packed up and ready to hit the road. Jordan needed a little energy boost on our way. It really didn't work that well.

We drove through New Mexico and Texas and made it to Oklahoma City. Our day from start to finish was 5 am to 5 am the next morning. We went a full 24 hours. We drove through the night and finally got to our hotel right after the sun rose on Sunday morning! We decided that we will never do that again! lol. We were fighting to keep ourselves awake through the night. It never felt so good to lay in a bed even though we only got about three hours of sleep that night.

Luckily the next day we only had about 5 more hours to go. I had to get a picture in Oklahoma because I have been wanting to go since I was about 12 years old. Ever since I became a fan of the best band ever.....Hanson, duh! We didn't drive through Tulsa but just being in Oklahoma was good enough for me.

Jordan got to drive the big truck for the rest of the way. Penny did great through the whole trip. She pretty much slept the whole time. She should have been the one driving since she got the most sleep out of all of us. Haha. I think she was pretty much over it near the end and was telling us she wanted to go back home.

We were so excited when we finally entered Kansas. That meant our road trip was almost at an end.

Through the rest of the way to Kansas City I tried to stay away to check out all of the surroundings of our new home. It was pretty much exactly the way I pictured it. Maybe even more beautiful.

This is only the beginning of our big adventure for about the next six years and beyond. I'm excited to see what's in store!
