We made it!

We are so thankful that Jordan’s mom and dad were able to fly out to Kansas and help us drive our to Arizona with us. Jordan and his dad took turns driving the big truck. We stayed overnight for two nights and Jemma was not a huge fan of being in the car for as long as she was. But we made it with no trouble! They were able to stay with us for a few days and helped us unpack a lot of stuff.
The first room we completely unpacked was the boys room. All three of the oldest kids shared a room at our old house so now it just the boys room. Jess finally got her own room!

The kids were so happy to finally be at our new home. They have all done so well with the move and have been so excited the whole time.
They have been moving our huge back yard! It’s so nice to have our very own yard for them to run around and ride their bikes and I don’t have to be watching them the whole time or telling them to stay out of the street.

We spent our first week trying to unpack and running errands and going out to buy stuff that we needed for the house.

It was nice to have grandma and grandpa there to watch the kids so Jordan and I could run errands together a few times.

Grandma was so helpful and taught Jess how to use the mircrowave!
We had our first Friday movie night in the new house with boxes and all!
Our first week in Tucson was fun and filled with lots of unpacking and organizing!

Tulsa

I talked Jordan into stopping by Tulsa on our way to Arizona. I have wanted to go to Tulsa ever since I became a Hanson fan back in 1997.
So of course I had to put on my favorite Hanson shirt and went over to Hanson’s recording studio. 3 car garage records!
It was a Sunday and I’m assuming they don’t record on Sunday’s so nobody was there. But it was still so fun to see the actual building that they go to regularly and have been going to currently while recording their newest record.

Their studio is downtown so it was cool to see downtown Tulsa as well.

The kids mostly just enjoyed staying in the hotel.
I can now officially check off going to Tulsa off of my bucket list!!

Moving Day!

Well, it has been exactly 4 years since my last post on this blog. I switched over to Wordpress for a little while during my pregnancy with Jemma because that was a huge dilemma and apparently needed it’s own blog. Then I took a blogging break and I wanted  to check out my old blog posts and loved reading all the memories. So I decided that I needed to keep up on writing about our life so I can have these memories.

2020 has been quite the year so far. It started out with the funeral of my beautiful sister in law Samantha. Maybe  I will do a separate post about that. February was filled with filled with preparing to move back to Arizona and frantically trying to find a house to live in. March began with packing and and we left Kansas on March 7. Here are some pictures of how that went.

Here are the kids sleeping in their room the last night on their mattresses.

This is what our house looked like the night before! It was crazy seeing it all filled with boxes. We spent the most years of our marriage in this house. 6 years! We moved in with an almost 3 year old little girl and a newborn baby boy. And then through the years we brought home another baby boy and another baby girl. We outgrew that house a long time ago so even though we had many memories there we have been ready to leave for a long time.
We’re thankful for all the help we had from our ward family packing up the moving truck!

It was so hard saying bye to the cousins. I love this picture of Bobo and Declan. Bobo is 4 and Declan is 3 and they’re almost the same size!

Jemma had fun hanging out with uncle James for the last time for a while!

One more last picture of all the Missouri cousins before we hit the road!
We also had lots of little “helping” hands.
We took one last walk through of our house. It was very bittersweet seeing it so empty!
And said all of our last goodbyes

One last family group picture before we left!

And we’re off on our new adventure!

Manassa

We started our journey out on Friday April 22nd. We weren't exactly sure how long the kids would last in the car so we decided to drive about 5 hours and stay in a hotel. Then we continued our drive again the next day another 5 hours.
Jonas did surprisingly well considering he pretty much hates his car seat after a short amount of time. Luckily he slept most the way. And since Jayven is potty trained now, we ended up making a lot of frequent stops. And we had no potty accidents!
We finally made it to grandmas house and she got to meet Jonas for the first time!

We got to go eat at the little restaurant she works at in Manassa.
We did some shoe shopping at Payless. Notice the matching leopard outfits!

Then we got to have some fun at the park across the street from grandmas house. I used to play at this park every summer as a kid so it was so much fun being able to take my own kids there to play.

I had to get some pictures taken with the Jack Dempsey memorabilia.
Then back to grandmas house for some visiting and snuggles!
Uncle Ryan even got to meet Jayven and Jonas for the first time.
It was a quick 2 day trip but we were so happy we got to spend a little time with Grandma in her little town.
Then we were on the road again Arizona bound!
