We have just been living life here in Kansas. Jordan has been doing great in school and passing all of his exams. He loves it so far and has been learning so much biology stuff that I don't even understand. I try to when he explains it but it sounds like he is speaking another language. Haha. I have been working my little job only a few hours a week. It's perfect for me right now. It gets me out of the house and I have met some new people and brings in a little extra money. Penny is loving life too. It's so funny because we pretty much on a routine now with our daily walks. I think we have gotten into the swing of things living in an apartment and taking penny out for her potty breaks. As soon as we come home, we let her out of the bathroom usually with one of her toys in her mouth wagging her tail. As soon as you say "potty" she knows exactly what it means. She tilts her head and runs for the door.
The neighbors we have met in our little apartment area all seem very nice and friendly. They obviously notice what cars we drive because we keep getting asked if we are the ones from Arizona. Two of our neighbors are actually from Arizona. One from Sierra Vista and one from the north side of Tucson. It's a small world! The one's from Tucson are actually going Cleveland Chiropractic as well and have a little 5 month old baby boy. A lot of students live in the apartments because it's so close to the school.
Jordan and James took a trip out to Utah over the weekend so I kept myself busy by starting a little on Baby J's room. I spray painted some shevles and hung things up and made room by rearranging things. We also just got a steal on the crib set! Jordan was surprised with what I did by myself. I'm trying to pace myself though because I can get a little excited.
I'm feeling great and I'm 23 weeks this week! My belly keeps growing and growing. I'm feeling great other than leg cramps at night and a little bit of back pain. Other than that I feel great! Baby J has just started kicking up a storm this week too which is so exciting. I have felt flutters here and there for a little while but this week I'm really feeling it and seeing her a little bit too. But everytime I want to show Jordan she stops of course so he hasn't had a chance to see it.
Well, that's that for now. I will keep the updates coming along.

It's a......
GIRL!!!
We had a feeling pretty much from the moment we found out we were pregnant. It wasn't because of what I was craving. It wasn't because of how I'm carrying. It wasn't because I was sick...because I wasn't at all. It was all just a deep down gut feeling that we knew she was in there. Let me just tell all of you who believe in all those wives tales that none of them are true. lol! The first trimester I was pretty much craving only salty stuff. Anyone could have said that's because I was having a boy. That has changed now because I crave anything from salty fries to brownies to fruit. I had quite a few guess that I was carrying a boy because I'm a little low and pointy and all in the front like a basketball. And of course the other big wives tale is the sicker you are the more it's a girl. I wasn't sick at all! Then of course there were many things that pointed towards girl like the chinese gender chart and the sweets I have been craving. This all just goes to show that everybody is different and you never really know. Sometimes you just have that feeling.
About a week before our ultrasound Jordan, Penny and I were laying in bed and Jordan decided to talk to my belly. We have been really anxious to know. So he decided to ask my belly "If you are a girl then give us a sign." Three seconds later my belly made a really weird, loud noise. We were both like "What was that?!" We think it was her trying to say "It's me mom and dad. You are right!" Haha! Or maybe just my belly making funny noises. Either way, it was pretty cool :)
It seemed like time stood still for a while waiting to find out the sex. Finally Tuesday morning came around. We waited in that waiting room what seems like forever. As soon as she called me back and took us to the room she asked if we wanted to find out the sex. We were both like "YES!" So I laid down, she squirted the stuff on my belly and we watched the screen. First she measured the head, next she went for the legs, then she went for the body. My heart was racing so fast. Then the moment of truth. She went over her girly part and as soon as I saw it I was pretty sure. She said "It's a girl!" And then came the tears! lol. I didn't believe her at first even though it was right in front of my eyes. So I asked "How sure are you?" And she confidently said, "I have never been wrong." It felt great to have it confirmed that our feeling was right all along and Baby J is indeed a girl.
We are even more excited because it's going to be the second girl on Jordans side of the family and first girl on mine. My parents are now going to have one of each grandchild. And after six boys on the Sheffer side, Samantha and I finally broke the streak and not only one but two little girls are expected to join the family this year! It's the year of the girls :) Now we can't wait to meet our baby girl. She is definitely going to be a daddy's girl. We told Penny too and informed her that she is going to have to share her dolls but won't be able to chew the arms and legs off of Baby J's dolls. lol! We went and registered at Babies r us right after we got done with our appointment so I could pick out all the girly things I have been looking out for about 5 months now.
