Tuesday, November 10, 2009 will be a memorable day for me. That is the day that Hanson came to Tucson for the first time.....in twelve years. I have waited for this day since I was twelve years old. Every tour that rolled around I would check the dates in search for a Tucson date. No luck. Until now.
Before every show they get together with their fans for a one mile barefoot walk to support causes to fight poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa. They donate a dollar for each person that chooses to take part in this walk. Last year in San Diego was our first walk. This walk took place at the University Mall. They came out and made a little speech about what the importance of the walk is.
Here's Taylor trying to direct traffic. Haha.

Halfway through the walk we stopped and they talked some more about the cause. They are very passionate about it and have been doing it for two years now!
I did get a chance to talk to Isaac and luckily got it on camera. That has to be one of my most memorable moments of the whole day. Here we are walking with some guy in between us...kinda. lol.
And this moment right here has to be the second best parts of the day. Or maybe it's tied with first. We were walking right behind Zac for quite some time and I knew last year that Jordan wanted to ask Zac about music but he never got a chance to. This time I told him now is your chance. So he tapped him on the should and started asking him about his favorite bands. It was so awesome listening to my husband talk to Zac Hanson about their favorite bands and the reason why they hate the radio and how stupid mainstream music can be and how much better it is to be on an independent label. I agreed with everything these boys were saying. So I had to sneak a picture of this for memories. And I also got a little bit on video. A really funny thing that happend right after they were done talking some random stupid guy started trying to sing Mmmbop to be obnoxious and I'm pretty sure he didn't know Zac was standing right next to him and he told him how it was. He said "Keep singing." The guy looked a little surprised then asked him if he was going to sing it at the concert. Zac said in so many words, " Yes but we like to sing songs more relevent to today like the songs we wrote when were in Africa." I'm pretty sure that guy felt pretty dumb after that!
At the end of the walk we ended up in some store at the University mall. They said some last words about the walk and decided to sing two songs for us. I was so excited about that. They sang The Great Divide and Where's the love. I'm glad I got this picture because camera's were not allowed at the Rialto. And I also captured some of this one video too!
They were selling a book and were doing a book signing. We didn't take any money with us for the walk so I couldn't buy it. I wasn't completely disappointed since I already have their autographs from when I met them at a concert a few years back. So I told Rebecca I would watch her get it signed.
After the walk we rushed home and washed our dirty feet and changed and made it over to the Rialto. We waited a little longer than 4 hours outside just to get in. We had to make sure we got a perfect view when we got inside. We met a bunch of really cool fans while we waited. It's always exciting meeting people who share the same love for Hanson!
Everybody kept asking about Jordan and were saying how lucky I was to have such a supportive husband to stand for so long just to get in. Yes, I know I'm very lucky!

It's so exciting to see Hanson's name all lit up! Oh and we were curious who Gwar was so we checked it out on youtube. Let me just say...if you don't want nightmares than don't be curious. lol.
This is right when the show ended at our front row spot that we waited 4 hours just to get. It was perfect. I actually almost got in a fight with some obnoxious girl who thought she could have an attitude with me and steal my spot. I realized that nobody should mess with me when it comes to Hanson. lol. I waited hours for my perfect spot and some rude girl was not about to get in the way. I even became friends with the girl on the other side of me. She helped tell that crazy girl how it was going to be. Haha.
The band Sherwood opened up for Hanson. This guy right here played the keyboard and he was so much fun. He was dancing all around and hitting the tamborine with his feet. When we saw him after the concert we needed to take a picture with him. Check out their music. They were awesome!
I was so disappointed that we couldn't take pictures inside so at the end I secretly snapped a few pictures with my phone. Here is one of them. I'm mad because I could have had some amazing pictures from the front row. Oh well. Next time!
Their show was as amazing as ever. They are the most talented band I have ever seen live. They honestly sound just as good as their cd if not better. They played a few of their new songs from their upcoming cd and a few old school ones. And yes, they played Mmmbop. I was dancing and singing along to every song. This was my sixth time seeing them and they just keep getting better and better. We waited about 45 minutes by their tour bus after hoping to meet them but no luck. I can't wait for their next tour!!!
