We're almost there!

This week is an exciting week. I am 37 weeks which makes me officially full term. So this means Baby J can come any day now! I'm just going with my gut feeling here but I don't think she has any plans of making her grand entrance any time soon. I think she's nice and snug in my belly and she will be sticking around in there for a little while longer. Which is fine with me. I still want an October baby and I don't think I'm prepared yet mentally or physically. I'm also not ready to be done using being pregnant as an excuse to eat whatever I want and to be lazy. lol. Since I'm getting closer I decided to make a list of things I will miss about being pregnant and things I will not miss.

What I will miss about being pregnant:

-Feeling my baby girl rolling around and kicking and getting hiccups in my tummy.

-People being extra nice and always asking how I am feeling.

- Nobody thinking it's weird to eat as much as I want and what I want.

-Having an excuse to be lazy

-Growing a little human inside my belly.

-The excitement and anticipation of waiting for our baby.

Things I will not miss about being pregnant:

- Feeling my baby girl move when I have a full bladder.

-Peoples comments about how huge I look. Really? When is it ever okay to comment about someones weight telling them they look huge?! Never.

-Waking up literally 5 or more times a night to pee.

-Only being able to sleep on one side or the other and switching sides because the pain on that side was hurting too much.

-Being out of breath easily and waddling like a penguin.

-All the aches and pains.

Well, here's to the last three weeks or so! I can't believe how close we are to meeting our little Baby J!

The 10th!

So today is exactly one month from my due date! Wow! I feel like we would never make it this far. But there are still 4 more weeks. I think these are going to be the longest 4 weeks of my life. And who knows if she decides to come a little earlier or decides to she is too comfy and wants to stay a little longer.

I keep thinking that we are almost ready and that we have almost everything we need then another thing pops up. I have been slowly working on her nursery and everything is pretty much done. It just needs all the little finishing touches.

I have actually been feeling pretty good. My feet haven't been hurting quite as bad since I'm not working as much anymore and try to stay off of them as much as I can through out the day. I have been swelling a little bit. My little feet and hands are looking a little chubby these days. Just like the cartoon shows up there...my poor bladder feels like it's the size of penny. lol. Which makes for very sleepless uncomfortable nights. Baby J has been a very active little one lately. I'm not exactly sure what she is doing in there but I think she's either having a lot of fun or trying to get comfortable because she is running out of room! My next dr. appointment is on Thursday and then I'm on one week appointments.

Well, here's to the last 4 weeks! October here we come!

Baby Moon!

Jordan and I took a three day trip out to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. This was our last trip as just a married couple so we wanted to make the best of it and enjoy it being just the two of us.

Here I am at 34 weeks going on 35 weeks.

I got this shirt from my awesome friend Rebecca. I got a few laughs and compliments on it from some random people. lol.

This is the view we had from our patio. We felt like we were out in the wilderness. It was so green and beautiful and we could see the lake in the distance.

I'm not sure if you can tell how big this spider is but it was pretty gigantic. It crawled across my leg when we were sitting in the grass at the lake. My only reaction was a gasp. lol. I think Jordan freaked out more than I did. But I'm really not that afraid of spiders so it wasn't too bad. It was just freaky looking down and seeing a gigantic spider on me. Haha.

A lot of people were swimming out in the lake but we aren't fans of the lake water. I don't like when you can't see what's floating around inside. So we just stuck our feet in.

We went to the pool at our hotel but the water was too cold to actually go in. Jordan went in by himself and I just stuck my feet in. I figured I would give my gigantic belly a little bit of sun.

Here is our little hotel room or estate. We were pleasantly surprised. We were just expecting to have a regular hotel room in a hotel but we drove through a windy road to what felt like the middle of the wilderness. You share these little estates with about 4 other rooms but we were the only ones this time so we had a lot of privacy.

We drove out to see the Dam on our way back home. It wasn't too exciting but there was a cute little town we drove through to get to it. It had a frozen custard place named Dam Fresh Frozen Custard and also a Dam Flea Market. lol.

Penny spent the weekend at her little pet hotel. We wanted her to know that we were thinking about her so we bought her this cookie at a little pet store at the lake. Yes the cookie is actually for dogs and not humans. It looked delicious and ate every last crumb.

It was a very relaxing weekend and we enjoyed spending time with each other and eating to our hearts content. lol. We ate breakfast at a really cute bakery that served the most delicious breakfast I have ever had. Then I was craving mexican food but what was I to expect trying to find an authentic mexican restaurant in Missouri. lol. It was good but the salsa literally tasted like tomato sauce and the tacos were something you could get at taco bell. We ate some good BBQ sandwiches while we watched fireworks at our resort. That was really exciting because the fireworks were right in front of our faces. Sometimes we felt like they were going to fall on us. And then we enjoyed some really good frozen custard that we waited in a really long line for. But it was worth it. There were two custard places in the town but this one had a longer line so that's how we decided which one to go to.

Now we are back to reality and have about 5 more weeks left until Baby J makes her appearance. We are so ready to meet our daughter!

Oh the Joys!

I've decided that once I hit my third trimester things have not been quite as easy. Luckily it's just the normal aches and pains that go along with pregnancy and everything with the baby is healthy. This pregnancy stuff is really just taking a toll on my body. I guess I knew this would happen but I didn't really know in what ways. I really hate to be a complainer. When people ask how I'm feeling I always like to tell them I'm feeling good and not bore anyone with the backaches and other pains.

About two months ago, I started getting some pain in my feet. I figured it was just from working on my feet and the extra weight I'm carrying around so I didn't think anything of it. As the weeks went on the pain started getting worse. Now it's so bad that it hurts to walk from one room to the other in our tiny apartment. It's getting very frustrating and I'm forgetting what it's like to be able to walk from one place to the other with out thinking ahead like I need to bring this and that with me so I don't have to walk ALL the way back over there get it. I now have an appointment with an orthopedic dr. to check out what's wrong with my feet and what we need to do to make them better.

The most frustrating thing to me is that I really want to keep working. My plan was I wanted to work up until a few weeks before my due date. Now I really don't see that in my future. I like working because it keeps me busy for a few hours a day and also gives me a little exercise. The extra money helps a lot too. I've cried too much in the last few days over this and I'm so over it. These darn hormones making me cry at every little thing. haha.

I have been very lucky with such an easy and healthy pregnancy. But leave it to me to have the most random things happen to me. No I don't get typical pregnancy symptoms. I get my first stomach flu in my whole life, my first pink eye about three times in a row and now I might be walking around in a cast for the rest of my pregnancy! (I'm really hoping it doesn't come to that.lol) I guess I should be thankful since all this stuff really hasn't had any effect on the baby at all. It's all just me.

So I must thank my little Baby J for all of these wonderful things. Haha. But through all of this all I can think about is how worth all of it is going to be in the end. That moment that I'm holding her in my arms I will probably forget all about this stuff that's making me cry. She is worth any little ache and pain even though right now I can't wait for October to be here faster.

I am 32 weeks this week so that means we only have 8 more weeks left! At this point I feel like I've been pregnant forever. But I feel like I'm in a dream and that this experience is such a miracle. I've wanted to be a mommy since I was a little girl playing with my cabbage patch dolls. I'm so blessed to be given the chance to experience this little miracle growing inside of me. This beautiful miracle that Jordan and I have created together.

Shout It Out!

Last night Baby got to experience the amazingness of Hanson live! I'm pretty sure she liked it because she started kicking a lot after a few songs. I got a whole lot of attention from my shirt. I probably got my picture taken about ten times but fellow fans. Too bad it didn't spark some attention from Hanson themselves. Haha.

We made it a little late for the one mile walk that they have before each concert. We caught the end of it but I'm actually glad we didn't do the whole thing because it was so hot outside. We were sweating bullets from the little that we did walk and I already felt exhausted from that. We've already been to two other walks other than this one. We decided next walk we will take Baby J along in a stroller and Penny too! We saw a lot of people with their kids and dogs.

We took a break at starbucks to cool off and wipe off our sweat. lol. Then we sat out in the heat for about another two hours. Oh the things I do for Hanson. And I'm so lucky to have a husband who is willing to go through it with me. I don't know if I have ever sweat so much in my life. But it was all worth it. There was actually a girl who was standing in front of us that passed out once we were inside waiting for Hanson. We felt so bad for her. It had to have been heat exhaustion. She walked away then fainted in the middle of a crowd of people twice! We got her friends attention to help her then Jordan and I looked at each other and pulled then pulled out our waters and started chugging it. We saw her by the end of the concert and she was fine but embarrassed I'm sure.
Hanson is known for being late. When it says the concert starts 8 it really means about 9:30. My feet were killing me way before they even came out. We had to go through two opening acts before they even came out. I was tired, hungry hot and being almost eight months pregnant does not help matters. So I was feeling very impatient. It's not like you can just go and find a seat and wait a while before they come out. At a Hanson concert you need to pick a perfect spot in the crowd and stay there. Hanson fans can get pretty feisty. We witnessed almost two cat fights happen right next to us because some girls squeezed their way in front of other girls that had been standing there for 2 hours already. It was pretty entertaining to watch.

As usual, Hanson put on an amazing show. I danced and sang along to every song and tried not to bump the girl in front of me with my belly. Near the end I felt like my bladder was going to explode and I couldn't take it anymore so we decided to lose our precious spots and go to the bathroom. Luckily they only had a few more songs left so I wasn't missing out on much. But I did walk away at one of my favorite songs. "Penny and Me."

I came to realize that I didn't quite have the energy or patience this time around. It was still worth waiting in the heat, standing on my feet for 5 hours straight, getting my full bladder kicked by baby J and feeling exhausted. I wanted to wait after the concert to see if Hanson would come out so I could take a picture with them but by that point all I wanted to do was sit down and eat something. lol. So I passed it up. It's not like I haven't met them a few times already and gotten pictures with them :)

All in all it was a fun experience and baby J will be singing "Thinkin about Somethin" right out of the womb!

10 More Weeks and A New Niece!

I had my 30 week appointment today. It was all just the usual stuff. Blood pressure, pee in a cup, check your weight, ask how you're feeling measure the belly and hear the heartbeat. Everything is right on track. I'm measuring at exactly 30 weeks and my weight gain is doing a lot better than last time. I love listening to my little baby's heartbeat everytime. I asked if she could tell what position she is in because I keep feeling a lot of movement on the right side of my tummy. She felt around and said her head is down and her butt is to the left and feet are on the right. So it's her little legs that have been kicking me like crazy! Sometimes I feel like she is going to kick right out of my tummy. I love just sitting and watching my belly. It's definitely one of the most amazing feelings you can ever experience in your life.

We took a hospital tour on Saturday and it was very exciting and nerve racking at the same time. It's a very nice hospital and it's only about 5-10 minutes away from our house. It made us realize how close we are getting. As we were walking into the hospital we were saying how this is where our first baby is going to be born. We never thought our baby would be born in Kansas. Haha.

In some exciting news- My first niece was born last wednesday! I'm so happy for my sister in law Samantha and the family. I can't wait to meet her. Her and baby J are going to be the best of friends one day.

Annabelle Fayth! She's a little blondie and looks just like her brothers :)

This saturday we are going to see Hanson in concert! Yes this will be number 7 and I'm sooo excited. We'll see how much baby J kicks. I've been listening to non stop Hanson so she will probably be coming out of my belly singing one of their songs. lol.

At the moment I'm using one that I got from Old Navy on sale. It's very sloucy and has pink and red and green flowers on it. I've been getting a lot of compliments on it. I wouldn't say it's my favorite but I'm loving it at the moment.

Flip-flops: yay or nay?
Flip Flops are my shoe of choice. That's what I wear the majority of the time except for during the winter.

Feeling my baby girl move around and kick in my belly all day long :)

Hmmm...I don't know? My skin? lol

Favorite summer reading?
I actually haven't read a whole lot this summer but I keep wanting to pick up a new book. Maybe that's what I should do.
